Bulldogs take two from Miss. Delta, 7-3 and 4-1

MOORHEAD --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs picked up two wins here Tuesday vs. Mississippi Delta Community College, 7-3 and 4-1, to go to 25-12 and 8-11 in the MACJC.

Holmes is set to play Pearl River on Friday in Poplarville. They will then play Meridian in a seven inning game on Monday at 1 p.m. and Northeast on Wednesday at 2/5 p.m.

In game one, Dalton Massingill picked up the win. He went seven innings and gave up three runs on six hits with one strikeout and three walks. Steven Lacey went the final two innings and had three strikeouts and one walk.

Paul Green and Jaylen Armstrong each had two hits with Armstrong adding a triple and Green having a double. Hunter Dykes had a double.

In game two, Payton Hanson went six innings and picked up the win. He gave up one run on four hits. Anthony Fidanza went one inning and gave up no runs.

Taj Porter led the Bulldogs with two hits including a double.
