Bulldogs split with Eagles to end the season

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs finish the 2024 season with a split with the Hinds Community College Eagles winning 13-12 in game one and falling 18-16 in game two in nine innings.

In game one, Hunter Bethel got the start but didn't get the win. Bethel went five innings before giving way to Drew Newman and Will Carter. Carter picked up the win going 2 2/3 innings and gave up no runs on no hits with one strikeout and one walk. Hunter Azemar, Nicolas Schwing, Jacob Lott and Jackson Parker each had two hits with Schwing adding a homerun and Lott adding a double. Brenden Skirtech had a two-run homerun while Amari Conley added a triple.

In game two, Aidan Bellman got the start and went one inning before giving way to Carson Moon, Houston Wedgeworth and Seth Terrell. Terrell suffered the loss in the game. Matthew Reed led with four hits while Azemar had three and Schwing, Adam Francisco, Bethel and Parker each added two. Azemar had a two-run homerun while Conley added a solo shot. Schwing, Lott and Andrew Dinkelacker each had a double while Francisco and Schwing added a triple.
