Bryant joins Bulldog football coaching staff

 

Dejerric Bryant has joined the Holmes Community College football program as an offensive assistant coach working with the quarterbacks and B backs.

A native of Mt. Olive, Bryant is a graduate of Mize Attendance Center. Following high school, he spent two years (2015-17) at Holmes Community College leading the Bulldogs to the 2016 NJCAA Graphic Edge Bowl in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

In his two years at Holmes, Bryant passed for 3, 015 yards and 27 touchdowns while running for 714 yards and 12 touchdowns.

After taking a year off, Bryant next played two seasons (2018-19) at Mississippi Valley State University, graduating with a bachelor's degree in health, physical education and recreation.

Bryant took over the quarterback duties at Mississippi Valley late in his first season and passed for 622 yards while running for 389. In his final season with the Delta Devils, he passed for 1,097 yards and 11 touchdowns while averaging 4.5 yards on 151 carries and scoring eight touchdowns.

He served as a volunteer coach at both Southwest Mississippi Community College working with the quarterbacks and B backs and at East Central Community College, where he worked with the running backs.
