Holmes falls to Hinds, 97-89

GOODMAN --- The No. 13 ranked Holmes Community College Bulldogs fell here Monday night to the Hinds Community College Bulldogs, 97-89.

With the loss, Holmes fell to 2-1 on the season. Holmes travels to Baton Rouge on Friday at 7:30 p.m. before playing LSU-Eunice on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

Hinds led 48-40 at halftime, and both teams scored 49 in the last half to preserve the win for Hinds.

Hinds shot 70.5 percent from the floor in the game while the Bulldogs shot 47.8 percent.

Kassim Nicholson led the Bulldogs with 26 points while Robert Jordan had 20, Javion Jordan had 14 and Czar Perry had 13. Nicholson had his third double-double of the season by adding 10 rebounds.
