Bulldogs fall to Southwest Tenn., 79-77

MEMPHIS, Tenn. --- The No. 13 ranked Holmes Community College Bulldogs fell to Southwest Tenn., 79-77, here Tuesday night.

With the loss, the Bulldogs fell to 4-2 overall. Holmes hosts Baton Rouge at 8 p.m. on Thursday and Southern Arkansas University Tech on Saturday at 4 p.m.

Holmes led Southwest 34-30 at halftime, but Southwest outscored Holmes in the second half, 49-43, to pull out the win.

Tanorrio Ransburgh led the Bulldogs with 26 points while Kassim Nicholson added 20 and Czar Perry had 12. Nicholson had seven rebounds.

The Bulldogs shot 49 percent from the floor, 55.6 percent from the three-point line and 65.4 percent from the free-throw line.
