Holmes led 39-23 at halftime and then outscored Baton Rouge 45-36 in the second half.
Tanorrio Ransburgh and Robert Jordan each finished with 14 points while Kassim Nicholson had 11 and Winford Ross and Javion Jordan each had 10. Nicholson led with 12 rebounds.
