MOORHEAD --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs went to 2-0 in the North Division with a 76-54 win over the Mississippi Delta Community College Trojans here Monday night.
With the win, the Bulldogs went to 10-3 overall. Holmes plays Coahoma on Thursday night in Goodman at 8 p.m. You can watch the game live at holmesccmedia.com.
Holmes led 47-29 at halftime and then outscored Delta, 29-25, in the second half for the win. The Bulldogs led by as much as 26 in the second half, 63-37.
Holmes shot 48.1 percent from the floor (25-of-52) and 47.8 percent from the three-point line (11-of-23).
Kassim Nicholson led the Bulldogs with 17 points while Czar Perry had 16, and Tanorrio Ransburg and Jaylen Lester each 13. Nicholson had 13 rebounds.
