Bulldogs go to 3-0 with win over the Coahoma Tigers

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs improved to 11-3 overall and 3-0 in the North Division after picking up a 70-52 win here Thursday night over the Coahoma Community College Tigers.

The Bulldogs will be on the road for two games next week at Northeast Mississippi Community College and Northwest Mississippi Community College. Holmes plays Northeast on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. and Northwest on Thursday at 7 p.m. They return home on Jan. 28 vs. Itawamba at 8 p.m.

Holmes jumped out to a 34-14 at halftime. Coahoma outscored Holmes in the second half, 38-36, but it wasn't enough to make up the halftime deficit. Holmes led by 24 points in the second half at 47-23.

Czar Perry led the Bulldogs with 18 points while Jaylen Lester had 14 and Javion Jordan had 12. Kassim Nicholson led the Bulldogs with nine rebounds.
