GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs improved to 13-6 overall and 5-3 in the North Division after picking up an 81-78 overtime win here Thursday over the Mississippi Delta Community College Trojans.
Holmes travels to Coahoma Monday night at 8 p.m. The Bulldogs return home on Thursday to play Northeast at 8 p.m.
Delta led 32-31 at halftime. Holmes outscored Delta, 36-35, to end the second half tied at 67 forcing overtime. The Bulldogs outscored the Trojans 14-11 in overtime.
Winford Ross led the Bulldogs with 17 points while Czar Perry had 16, Kassim Nicholson had 12, Robert Jordan had 11 and Tanorrio Ransburgh had 10. Nicholson finished with 13 rebounds.
