Bulldogs get 75-51 win over ICC; await word on MACJC playoffs

FULTON --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs finished the 2018-19 season off strong here Thursday night by picking up a 75-51 win over the Itawamba Community College Indians. Holmes will be the North No. 3 seed in the MACJC State Tournament next week at Jones and will play the South Division No. 2 seed Pearl River. The game time has yet to be decided.

The Bulldogs finished the regular season at 15-8 overall and 7-5 in the North Division.

Holmes led Itawamba 32-25 at halftime, and then outscored the Indians 43-26 in the second half.

Holmes shot 54 percent from the floor (27-of-50), 50 percent from the three-point line (6-of-12) and 62.5 percent from the free-throw line (15-of-24).

Czar Perry led the Bulldogs with 24 points while Winford Ross had 22 and Kassim Nicholson and Jarron Boler each had 10. Ross led the Bulldogs with 12 points.
