Bulldogs defeat the Bears, 77-66

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs improved to .500 (3-3) on the season here Thursday night with a 77-66 win over the Baton Rouge Community College Bears.

Holmes returns to action after the Thanksgiving break on Dec. 2 at East Central.

The Bulldogs led 46-34 at halftime before Baton Rouge outscored Holmes in the second half, 32-31, but it wasn't enough.

Holmes shot 47.5 percent from the floor (28-of-59), 50 percent from the three-point line (9-of-18) and 75 percent from the free-throw line (12-of-16).

Tyler Williams led the Bulldogs with 13 points while David Brown had 12 and Kaleb Higgins and Jaylen Lester each had 11. Josiah Lewis pulled in 14 rebounds while Williams had eight.
