GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs improved to 1-1 with a 66-59 win here Monday night over the Coahoma Community College Tigers.
The Bulldogs return to action on Monday night against Mississippi Delta in Moorhead.
Holmes led 43-30 at halftime. Coahoma outscored the Bulldogs 29-23 in the second half. The Bulldogs held a 41-24 lead late in the first half. Holmes had a 17-3 run in the first half while Coahoma had a 13-2 run in the second half.
Brandon Weatherspoon led the Bulldogs with 10 points while Asa Williams had nine points. Ahmad Anthony led the Bulldogs with six rebounds.
The Bulldogs shot 42.6 percent from the floor, 31.3 from the three-point line and 72.7 from the free throw line.
