RIDGELAND --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs fell 4-1 here today to the Bobcats of Jones College.
Holmes will host Itawamba on Friday at 3 p.m.
Holmes took a lead in the 26th minute on a goal from Brady Jacobs and held the lead until eight minutes into the second half when the Bobcats got on the scoreboard.
Jones scored two goals in the 53rd minute and pulled away. Justis Casey and Chris Dempsey each scored two goals and assisted each other's goals.
In the season opener on Aug. 22, the Bulldogs tied Southwest 1-1 in Summit.
Southwest scored in the 77th minute to take a 1-0 lead before Andres Mendez answered the Bears' goal in the 83rd minute to tie the match at one on a Brady Jacobs' assist.
After two overtimes, the match ended in a tie.
