RIDGELAND --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs' season came to an end today on Sophomore Day at Freedom Ridge Park after falling to Hinds Community College, 2-1.
With the loss, the Bulldogs closed the season with a record of 3-11-2 and a North Division record of 1-6-1.
Hinds went up 1-0 in the 15th minute before stretching the lead to 2-0 before halftime ended in the 37th minute.
Holmes got their only goal of the night when goalkeeper Colby Fair punted the ball well over the Hinds' defender allowing Brady Jacobs to poke it straight over the Hinds goalkeeper in the 59th minute.
Sophomores honored today included: Colby Fair, Wesley Jacobs, Harrison Hodge, Cameron Bell, Osbaldo Gaytan, Luis Oseguera, Brady Jacobs, Brandon King, Juan Molina and Jorge Ulloa.
