Holmes takes two from Miss. Delta, 7-6 and 15-6

MOORHEAD--- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs picked up a sweep here Wednesday over the Mississippi Delta Community College Lady Trojans, 7-6 and 15-6.

With the wins, Holmes went to 12-29 overall and 8-14 in the MACJC. Holmes travels to Hinds on Saturday for a 2/4 p.m. doubleheader.

In game one, Hannah Champion picked up the win. She went four innings and gave up two runs on two hits with one strikeout and four walks. Brooklyne Eubanks got the save in three innings of work. She gave up four runs on six hits with one strikeout.

Skyler Busbea and Teagun Barnes each had two hits. Katie Dana, Adyson Mann and Busbea each added a double.

In game two, Dana picked up the win. She went 3 2/3 innings and gave up six runs on eight hits with one strikeout. Eubanks got another save in 1 1/3 innings of work.

Champion led the Lady Bulldogs with three hits all doubles. Summer Jordan, Busbea and Barnes each had two hits. Jordan and Barnes each had homeruns while Jordan and Busbea added a double.
