Lady Bulldogs fall twice in trip to Louisiana

EUNICE, La. --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs fell to 1-4 on the season with two losses over the weekend versus LSU-Eunice on Saturday night and Baton Rouge, La. on Friday night. Holmes fell to LSUE, 100-94, on Saturday night and Baton Rouge, 63-59, on Friday night.

Holmes has the Thanksgiving Week off before playing Southwest Tennessee at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 27.

Versus LSUE on Saturday, Janae Collier led the Lady Bulldogs with 34 points while Jekalen Jones had 19 and Mikayla Patton had 17. Patton had 11 rebounds.

The Lady Bulldogs shot 45.3 percent from the floor, 46.7 percent from the three-point line and 63 percent from the free throw line.

Versus Baton Rouge on Friday, Collier led the Lady Bulldogs with 16 points while Jones had 15. Patton led with seven rebounds.
