Lady Bulldogs defeat Lady Rockets, 88-83

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs improved to 3-5 here Saturday afternoon with an 88-83 win over the Southern Arkansas University Tech Lady Rockets.

The Lady Bulldogs will return to action on January 5 in Goodman vs. Delgado Community College at 2 p.m.

Holmes led 23-17 after one period and 42-38 at halftime. The Lady Bulldogs outscored the Lady Rockets, 21-18, in the third to go up 63-56. The Lady Rockets outscored the Lady Bulldogs in the fourth, 27-25, in the fourth, but it wasn't enough as the Lady Bulldogs hung on for the win.

The Lady Bulldogs shot 48.7 percent from the floor in the game.

Janae Collier led the Lady Bulldogs with 22 points while Myeisha Robinson had 14, Koryana Johnson had 12 and Brysa Maxwell had 11. Maxwell led with seven rebounds.
