GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs fell to 7-12 overall and 3-5 in the North Division after falling to the Mississippi Delta Community College Lady Trojans, 75-71, here Thursday night.
Holmes travels to Coahoma Monday night at 6 p.m. The Bulldogs return home on Thursday to play Northeast at 6 p.m.
Delta led 18-15 after one period and then outscored the Lady Bulldogs, 23-18, in the second period to lead 41-33 at halftime. Holmes outscored Delta 18-13 in the third, and Delta outscored Holmes 21-20 in the fourth to pull out the win.
T'Onna Sims led the Lady Bulldogs with 17 points while Brysa Maxwell and Ja'Breonia Veasey each had 10. Jekalen Jones had five points and 11 rebounds. Myeisha Robinson finished with nine points while Christiana Harris had eight.
