Holmes loses heartbreaker to Hinds, 47-46

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs lost a heartbreaker here Thursday night to the Hinds Community College Lady Bulldogs, 47-46.

Holmes, now 1-3, hosts East Central on Monday at 5:30 p.m. in a Military Appreciation Night game. The Bulldogs then hosts Baton Rouge on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. The games can be watched live at holmesccmedia.com/white-channel or on Roku or Amazon Fire TV by searching for Holmes Community College.

Holmes led 14-6 at the end of the first period before Hinds outscored Holmes 23-6 in the second period to hold a 29-24 lead at halftime. Each team scored 12 in the third period, and Holmes outscored Hinds 10-6 in the fourth, but it wasn't enough.

Jordyn Manning and Jamaya Redd each had nine points in the game. Gabrielle Bunch and Brysa Maxwell each had six rebounds while Redd had five.
