Lady Bulldogs pull to .500 in the North Division

MOORHEAD --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs improved to 4-4 in the North Division here Thursday night with a 68-62 win over the Mississippi Delta Community College Lady Trojans.

Both teams scored 16 points in the first period, and Delta outscored Holmes 17-14 in the second period to lead 33-30 at halftime. Holmes then outscored the Delta in the third to retake the lead after three, 51-50. Holmes outscored Delta, 17-12, in the fourth to pull out the win.

Jalaceia Smith led the Lady Bulldogs with 13 points while Jordyn Manning and Gabrielle Bunch each had 12. Manning led with eight rebounds.

The Lady Bulldogs shot 42.9 percent from the floor (21-of-49), 41.7 percent from the three-point line (5-of-12) and 72.4 percent from the free-throw line (21-of-29).
