GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs picked up a big North Division win here Monday night over the Coahoma Community College Tigers, 69-63.
With the win, the Lady Bulldogs improved to 9-11 overall and 5-4 in the North Division. Holmes travels to Northeast Mississippi Community College on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
Holmes led 10-9 after one period and trailed Coahoma, 29-28, at halftime. Coahoma outscored the Lady Bulldogs, 17-15, in the third before the Lady Bulldogs outscored the Lady Tigers, 29-18, in the fourth quarter to pull out the win.
Gabrielle Bunch led the Lady Bulldogs with 21 points while Brysa Maxwell had 16. Jordyn Manning and Maxwell each had eight rebounds.
As a team, the Lady Bulldogs shot 40 percent (24-of-60) from the floor and 54.8 percent from the free-throw line (17-of-31).
