RIDGELAND --- Holmes Community College freshman forward Shannon Locke of Ridgeland and freshman defender Jenna Ceravolo each scored three goals here Thursday afternoon to help lead the Lady Bulldogs to an 8-0 win over the Lady Wolves of Copiah-Lincoln Community College.
With the win, the Lady Bulldogs improved to 4-5 on the season. The Lady Bulldogs travel to Itawamba Community College on October 2 and then play East Central Community College at home on October 5.
Locke got the Lady Bulldogs on the scoreboard in the first minute on an assist from Rachel Geissler. She then scored in the second minute to make the score 2-0. Locke added her third goal in the 37th minute on an assist from Ceravolo.
Ceravolo got her first goal of the match in the 38th minute on an assist from Locke. Liz Petro scored for the Lady Bulldogs in the 53rd minute, and Brittany Cochran scored in the 54th minute to put the Lady Bulldogs up 6-0.
Ceravolo then added her other two goals in the 56th and 64th minutes on assists from Samantha Hancock and Danielle Rice.
