RIDGELAND --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs jumped out 2-0 on the Lady Rangers of Northwest Mississippi Community College, but Northwest outscored Holmes the rest of the way to pull out the 3-2 win.
Miranda Gonzalez got on the board for the Lady Bulldogs in the second minute of the match to put Holmes up 1-0. Aija Baker then scored in the 17th minute to increase the lead to 2-0.
Northwest then scored three consecutive goals. Alex Young scored in the 38th minute on assists by Alex Jones and Holly Newman. Newman then scored on an assist from Jones to tie the game at two. Northwest took the lead for good in the 74th minute to give the Lady Rangers the win.
