Holmes falls to Hinds; must play play-in game Tuesday for the MACJC State Tournament

RIDGELAND --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs jumped out to an early 1-0 here Wednesday evening over the Hinds Community College Lady Eagles, but the Lady Eagles tied the match in the second half and after two overtimes, the match ended tied at one.

With the loss, the Lady Bulldogs fell to to 8-5-2 overall and ended up 4-2-2 in the North Division. Holmes will now host the South Division No. 3 Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Lady Bulldogs on Tuesday at Freedom Ridge Park. The time has yet to be determined.

Sekinah Brown scored the Lady Bulldogs only goal of the match in the 12th minute to put Holmes on top 1-0. Hinds tied the game in the 56th minute.
