RIDGELAND --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs scored first here to jump out in front of the Northwest Mississippi Community College Lady Rangers, but Northwest scored twice in the second half to pull out the 2-1 win.
With the loss, the Lady Bulldogs fell to 4-2-1 on the season and 1-2 in the North Division with the loss. Holmes travels to East Central on Friday before returning home to play Tuesday against Southwest at 1 p.m.
Jordin Shaddix got Holmes on the scoreboard in the 50th minute to put Holmes up 1-0. Northwest answered the goal in the 57th minute when Taylor Renth scored on an assist from Sidney Bond to tie the match at one. Abigail Morales broke the tie in the 68th minute on an assist from Kayla Boutwell to put Northwest up 2-1 for good.
