RIDGELAND --- The Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs continued their push for the MACJC playoffs with a 3-0 win here Tuesday afternoon against Itawamba Community College.
With the win, the Lady Bulldogs went to 8-5-1 overall and 4-3-1 in the North Division. Holmes travels to Hinds at 5 p.m. Friday. The Lady Bulldogs have secured a playoff birth and are battling for second or third place.
Jessie May got the Lady Bulldogs on the scoreboard 13 minutes into the first half. Robin Crowson put the Lady Bulldogs up 2-0 in the 25th minute on an assist from Micaela Robinson.
Ashley Whitley added the final goal for the Lady Bulldogs in the 86th minute on another assist from Robinson.
