Ellis named MACJC, United Soccer Coaches Player of the Week

Holmes Community College freshman forward Zoe Ellis from Brandon has been named both the MACJC and the United Soccer Coaches Player of the Week for her play last week.

The United Soccer Coaches honor is for the past week but the MACJC honor is for the season up until last Sunday. For the season so far, Ellis has 19 shots, 16 shots on goal, eight goals and two assists. The Lady Bulldogs are 4-0 on the season and will play East Central in Decatur on Friday at 3 p.m.

Ellis will now be considered for the NJCAA Player of the Week, which will be announced tomorrow.
