Lady Bulldogs move to 7-0 with win over Northwest

SENATOBIA --- The No. 13 Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs improved to 7-0 on the season and 4-0 in the North Division here Friday with a 4-0 win over the Northwest Mississippi Community College Lady Rangers.

Holmes will host Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College on Tuesday on the Ridgeland Campus at 2 p.m. The Lady Bulldogs will then play Southwest Tennessee at Meridian on Friday at 5 p.m.

Ja'Laycia Brown put the Lady Bulldogs up 1-0 in the 24th minute off an assist from Peyton Montgomery. Caseigh Hickman got a goal in the 72nd minute off another Montgomery assist. Zoe Ellis then scored an unassisted goal in the 83rd minute before adding another goal in the 88th minute off an assist from Kimberly Urquia.   

In a match last Wednesday at Itawamba, the Lady Bulldogs defeated the Lady Indians, 3-1.

Brown, Ellis and Isabella Wade each had a goal in the match (27th, 33rd and 84th minute). Ellis added an assist along with Brown and Kya Davis.
