RIDGELAND --- The No. 11 Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs went to 12-0 overall and 5-0 in the North Division here Wednesday with a 5-1 win over the Hinds Community College Lady Eagles.

Holmes hosts East Central on Tuesday at 1 p.m. on the Ridgeland Campus.

Isabella Wade got the Lady Bulldogs on the scoreboard in the 12th minute with an assist from Pepper Ann Filbert. A Zoe Ellis goal on a Peyton Montgomery assist put Holmes up 2-1 in the 43rd minute.

Leggett Steed put the Lady Bulldogs up 3-1 in the 48th minute off an assist from Kya Davis. Ellis added her second goal off a Filbert assist in the 54th minute to put Holmes up 4-1. Ja'Laycia Brown's goal off a Kimberly Urquia assist ended all scoring at 5-1.
