Ellis named NJCAA Offensive Player of the Week

RIDGELAND --- Holmes Community College freshman forward Cariel Ellis of Madison has been named the NJCAA D1 Offensive Player of the Week.

Ellis, who played at Madison Central, was named the MACJC Offensive Player of the Week to be considered for the national honor.

In three games, Ellis has scored eight goals and has four assists on the young season. In the first two matches of the season, Ellis had four goals and four assists, but in last Friday's match with Itawamba she scored four goals in the single contest. So far she has taken 24 shots and 18 shots on goal.
