Thompson named MACJC Offensive Player of the Week

RIDGELAND --- Holmes Community College freshman forward Bailey Thompson of Pelahatchie has been named the MACJC Offensive Player of the Week for her play last week.

Thompson, who played at East Rankin Academy, scored six goals in last Friday's match with Northwest in Ridgeland, three assisted and three unassisted. For the week, she had 12 shots and 10 shots on goal.

She'll now be considered for the NJCAA Player of the Week. Her teammates, Cariel Ellis of Madison and Carly Williams of Flowood, were named MACJC Players of the Week last week, and Ellis was named NJCAA Offensive Player of the Week last week.
