Lady Bulldogs add four more players to 2020 class

The Holmes Lady Bulldogs, coming off the best season in school history, have added four additional players to their 2020 Class.

"These four players solidify this class as a whole." Associate Head Coach Wesley Noble said. "It gives us a bit of everything which make it a very complete group.  We are very excited for the way our roster has shaped out for the 2020 season."

Zoey Dixon
Goalkeeper
Murrah High School

Zoey is a goalkeeper from Murrah High School, who has been a rock for that program for some time now. Zoey finished her senior season with 178 saves which was good for #2 in Mississippi and #14 Nationally.

"Zoey has very good instincts and is really grasping how the game should be played. She communicates well and is able to be an asset with her feet, which fits into our system. We are very excited to see Zoey with our GK coach on a daily basis.  She will spend her first year really learning and improving. I think she has a very bright future as a Lady Bulldog."

Maddie Leber
Defender
Hoggard High School
WHYFC 02 Girls ECNL

Maddie is a defender from Wilimington, North Carolina.  She plays for Hoggard High School where the team were crowned Conference Champions in 2018 and 2019, along with Eastern State Finalists in 2019.  Maddie also plays ECNL for Wilmington Hammerheads where her team competes in the Mid Atlantic Conference. Maddie was awarded DP Player of the Year for the Hammerheads in 2019.

"Maddie is excellent defender that does things the right way. She is clean with her technique on and off the ball. She has an extremely high IQ which allows her to really excel. Her best quality is her passion for the game; the way she trains and plays is very special.  She is the type of player who loves to get after it day in and day out. Maddie has trained and played at a very high level for sometime now with her ECNL team.  I fully expect Maddie to come and make a major impact in our back four for next season."

Briana Reaser
Forward
Terry High School

Briana is a forward from Terry High School where she led her team in goals. Briana finished her senior year with 19 goals and 5 assists. Her sophomore year, she won Offensive Player of the year.   She followed that up her junior year with the Semper Improvidus Award.

"Briana is a very exciting player because of how much raw ability she has.  She is one of the quickest players that I have seen in a while. She has gifts that you can't teach.  As her tactical knowledge and technical ability improve she will become a key player for us."

Abbi Russell
Defender
Northwest Rankin High School
University of West Alabama

Abbi is a defender who prepped at Northwest Rankin in High School, where she was an All State Selection her junior and senior year. Her senior year, she also won Player of the Year for NWR along with being selected as a MAC All Star. In her freshmen year at West Alabama, Abbi played in 18 of 19 games while starting 10 of those.  She added 2 goals throughout the season.  She played her club soccer for MS Rush where the team won State Cup and went onto to compete at US Youth Regionals several years.

"Abbi bring experience and grit to the table. She is a fantastic player that has the ability to be the leader of a back line. Her strength and athleticism sets her a part from most. She will raise the level of training on a daily basis for us.  I fully believe Abbi will be one of the top defenders in the MACJC in 2020. "
