RIDGELAND --- The No. 2 ranked Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs captured its fifth straight North Division title here Tuesday morning with a 4-0 win over the No. 13 ranked East Central Community College Lady Warriors.
With the win, the Lady Bulldogs improved to 9-0-1 overall and 6-0-1 in the North Division. Holmes plays Northwest in Senatobia at 1/3 p.m. on Friday.
Cariel Ellis got the Lady Bulldogs on the scoreboard early in the match in the second minute when she scored off an assist from Laney Smith.
Ravynne Wilson got a goal for the Lady Bulldogs in the 19th minute on an assist from Kaci Craft. Wilson added another goal in the 24th minute on an assist from Mackenzie Thompson.
Craft got a goal in the 62nd minute on an assist from Olivia Deslatte to end all scoring.
Carly Williams had four saves in the match while Layken Stockstill had three.
