Lady Bulldogs defeat Northwest Lady Rangers, 6-0

SENATOBIA --- The No. 2 ranked Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs ended the 2021 season with a 6-0 win over the Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers here today.

The Lady Bulldogs, the five-time North Division champions and reigning MACCC/Region XXIII champions, finished the regular season, 10-0-1 overall and 7-0-1 in the North Division, and will be participating in the MACCC/Region XXIII Tournament next weekend somewhere in the South Division. The winner of the South men will host the tournament, and no winner has been declared yet.

The Lady Bulldogs scored two goals in the first half and four in the second half. Kaci Craft got the Lady Bulldogs on the scoreboard first in the first half on an assist from Cariel Ellis. Cameron Gladney got the second goal off another assist from Ellis in the first half.

Ellis got her first goal of the match in the second half off an assist from Savannah Turner. Ellis scored again shortly after on another assist from Turner. Kayley Holloway got a goal on an assist from Rayvnne Wilson before Wilson got a goal of her own on an assist from Gladney to end all scoring.

Layken Stockstill played the entire match and had six saves.
