SENATOBIA --- The No. 5 ranked Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs improved to 3-0 on the season with a 7-0 win here over Mineral Area College at Northwest Mississippi Community College.
Holmes will play St. Louis Community College in Meridian on Friday at 4 p.m.
The Lady Bulldogs got on the scoreboard in the eighth minute when Tailynn Remmel scored on an assist from Abbigail Hornke. Holmes went up 2-0 on a goal from Callie McKinney on an assist from Brianna Lopez in the 32nd minute.
The lead increased to 3-0 at halftime when Remmel scored on an assist from Kaci Craft in the 41st minute.
Holmes went up 4-0 in the 52nd minute when Lopez scored on an assist from Remmel. In the 54th minute, Olivia Deslatte scored on an assist from Craft to go up 5-0.
Jaelyn Hanson scored the final two goals of the day in the 58th and 67th minute on one assist from Hornke.
