RIDGELAND --- The No. 4 ranked Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs started the 2022 MACCC play off with a 3-0 win over the No. 13 East Central Community College Lady Warriors here Friday.
Holmes will play Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Ridgeland on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
Jacelyn Russ scored on an assist from Jaelyn Hanson to give Holmes a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute. Brianna Lopez scored one of her two goals on a penalty kick in the 37th minute to give Holmes the 2-0 lead at halftime.
Lopez scored on another PK in the second half in the 65th minute to round out Holmes' scoring for the match.
