RIDGELAND --- The No. 4 Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs improved to 8-0 on the season with a 5-0 win over Columbia State Community College Chargers.

Holmes will play Jones College at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Ridgeland in MACCC action.

Josephine Pittman scored in the 18th minute on an assist from Tailynn Remmel to put Holmes up 1-0. Darian Blackburn scored in the 37th minute to put Holmes up 2-0. Holmes led 2-0 at halftime.

Brianna Lopez scored on a penalty kick in the 52nd minute to put Holmes up 3-0. Kaci Craft scored on an assist from Lopez in the 53rd minute. Shelby Thomas scored on an assist from Jordan Patrick in the 67th minute to end all scoring.
