RIDGELAND --- The No. 2 Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs improved to 2-0 on the season with a 7-0 win here Friday over Pensacola State College.
Holmes will host Dallas College Brookhaven at noon on Sunday.
Holmes went up 1-0 on a goal from Kristen Phillips. Brianna Lopez scored in the 25th minute to put Holmes up 2-0. Bailee Fairley scored on an assist from Grace Mason in the 31st minute to go up 3-0. Holmes led 3-0 at halftime.
Jaycelyn Russ scored in the 51st minute on an assist from Lopez to go up 4-0. Fairley scored her second goal in the 72nd minute on an assist from Lopez to go up 5-0. Tailynn remmel scored in the 80th minute on an assist from Christian Guzman to go up 6-0. Phillips added her second goal in the 84th minute on an assist from Olivia Tribolet to end all scoring.
