RIDGELAND --- The Div. II No. 2 Holmes Lady Bulldogs picked up a 2-1 here Sunday over the Div. III No. 1 Dallas Brookhaven Bears.
Holmes will play the College of Lake County in Illinois on Saturday at 3 p.m. They then will play Southwestern Illinois at 11 a.m. on Sunday in Illinois.
The Lady Bulldogs got on the scoreboard in the 43rd minute when Kristen Phillips scored on an assist from Josephine Pittman. Holmes led 1-0 at halftime.
Holmes then went up 2-0 in the 65th minute when Tailynn Remmel scored on an assist from Phillips.
Dallas Brookhaven scored in the 70th minute to pull within one at 2-1.
Addi Roberts finished with six saves and gave up one goal in 90 minutes.
