RIDGELAND --- The No. 1 Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs improved to 10-0 overall and 5-0 in the MACCC with a 5-0 win over the No. 8 Pearl River Community College Lady Wildcats.
Holmes travels to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Olivia Tribolet got the Lady Bulldogs on the scoreboard in the 22nd minute on an assist from Brianna Lopez to lead 1-0. Tribolet added her second goal in the 25th minute on an assist from K.K. Morris to lead 2-0. Holmes led 2-0 at halftime.
Jaycelyn Russ scored on a Lopez assist in the 75th minute to go up 3-0. Morris scored on a Lopez assist in the 81st minute to go up 4-0. Kristen Phillips scored on another Morris assist in the final two minutes to end scoring at five.
Addi Roberts got the start and went 70 minutes and had nine saves. Karly Murphy played the final 20 minutes for the Lady Bulldogs.
