No. 2 Holmes rolls over Hinds

RIDGELAND --- The No. 2 Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs had two players --- Kirsten Phillips and Olivia Tribolet --- score a hat trick here Tuesday versus Hinds Community College in Holmes' 15-0 victory.

Holmes, now 13-1 overall and 8-1 in the MACCC, hosts LSU-E today in Ridgeland at 3 p.m. Holmes returns to MACCC play on Friday against East Mississippi at 1 p.m. in Ridgeland.

Holmes got on the scoreboard in the 6^th minute on a goal from K.K. Morris on an assist from Tailynn Remmel. Phillips then scored three straight goals in the 23^rd, 25^th and 29^th minutes on two assists from Bailee Fairley and one from Tribolet to make it 4-0.

Tribolet's first goal came in the 32^nd minute on an assist from Sammi Doyle. Christina Guzman made it 6-0 in the 35^th minute on an assist from Jaycelyn Russ. Russ scored unassisted in the 40^th minute before Doyle scored her first goal unassisted in the 42^nd minute to make it 8-0 at halftime.

Fairley scored her first of two goals in the 59^th minute on an assist from Brianna Lopez. Tribolet's second goal came in the 70^th minute on an assist from Guzman assist to make it 10-0. Doyle scored again in the 76^th minute on an assist from Guzman.

Remmel scored in the 79^th minute on an assist from Tribolet to make it 12-0. Russ scored on a Doyle assist in the 83^rd minute. Fairley scored her second goal in the 88^th minute on an assist from Doyle before Tribolet scored her third goal in the final minute on a Fairley assist to end the scoring.

Karly Murphy played 45 minutes in goal while Jordan Bertschler played 45 minutes in goal and had three saves.
