SCOOBA --- The No. 5 Holmes Community College Lady Bulldogs finished the MACCC regular season with a 10-0 win here over East Mississippi Community College Tuesday.
The Lady Bulldogs, now 13-3-2, will be the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Region 23 Tournament after going 8-1-2 in the MACCC. Holmes will play Co-Lin on Saturday in Ridgeland at 1 p.m.
Akala Jacobs finished Tuesday's match with four goals. Emma Korhonen had two goals while Olive Tribolet, Abigail DeAngelo, Kristen Phillips and Bailee Fairley each had one. Stevie Kerns finished with four assists while KK Morris had two and Christina Guzman, Kaylee Avant, Emma Korhonen and Jacie Rouse each had one assist.
Katie Smith played 90 minutes in goal and finished with four saves.
Against Meridian, the Lady Bulldogs and the Lady Eagles finished in a 3-3 draw.
Kate DeAngelo had a goal on a Bailee Fairley assist while Phillips and Meagan Spencer each connected on penalty kicks in the match.
