Bulldogs get DH sweep of Lake Land Lakers, 12-5 and 12-1

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs opened the 2019 campaign with two wins over Lake Land College winning game one, 12-5, and game two, 12-1.

Holmes is set to host Crowleys Ridge on Monday at 1/4 p.m. in Goodman.

Kameron Ferguson picked up the win in game one on the mound. He went two inning and gave up two runs on two hits with five strikeouts and one walk. Anthony Fidanza went three innings and Steve Lacey went two innings while Nate Oswalt and Ethan Gowan also pitched in the game.

Jaylen Armstrong had two hits while Matt Warren added a double.

In game two, Albert Hughes picked up the win. He went three innings and gave up one run on two hits with three strikeouts and three walks. Dalton Massingill and R.J. Pierce also threw one inning each.

Jimmy Burse led the Bulldogs with three hits while Warren added a double.
