Bulldogs sweep Williams Baptist Eagles, 14-4 and 10-1

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs swept Williams Baptist here Monday, 14-4 and 10-1, to improve to 11-1 on the season.

Holmes travels to Blue Mountain Wednesday at 1/4 p.m. before hosting Nunez, La. on Saturday at 1/4 p.m.

Dalton Massingill picked up the win in game to go to 2-0 on the season. He went 2 2/3 innings and gave up two runs on three hits with three strikeouts and three walks. Kameron Ferguson and Ethan Gowan also saw time on the mound.

Albert Hughes, Jaylen Armstrong, Anthony Fidanza, Cade Pinnix and Walker Yuille each had two hits for the Bulldogs. Armstrong added a triple while Hughes added a double.

In game two, Nate Oswalt picked up the win. He gave up one run on two hits with seven strikeouts and two walks. Dylan Ramsey and Gowan also time on the mound.

Fidanza led the Bulldogs with three hits including a 3-run homerun while Jordan Szush had two hits. Taj Porter added a triple while Albert Hughes had a double.
