Holmes splits two games with East Mississippi, 15-14 and 7-4

SCOOBA --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs split two games here Wednesday versus East Mississippi winning 15-14 and falling 7-4.

With the split, the Bulldogs went to 23-10 overall and 6-9 in the MACJC. Holmes is set to host Copiah-Lincoln Community College on Saturday at 1/4 p.m.

In game one, Dylan Ramsey picked up the win. He went one inning and had one strikeout and one walk. Steven Lacey picked up the save. He went three innings and gave up one run on four hits with four strikeouts and two walks. Nate Oswalt, Anthony Fidanza, Kameron Ferguson, Eric Jones and Tyler Dobson also pitched in the game.

Anthony Fidanza led the Bulldogs with five hits including two doubles and a two-run homerun. Jaylen Armstrong had four hits while Jimmy Burse and Taj Porter each had three hits and Paul Green had two hits including one double.

In game two, Dalton Massingill suffered the loss. He went three innings and gave up two runs on three hits with four strikeouts and three walks. Porter, Armstrong, Hanson, Dobson and Ramsey also pitched in the game. Cade Pinnix and Payton Hanson each had a double.
