Co-Lin takes two from Holmes Monday

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs fell twice here Monday to Copiah-Lincoln Community College, 20-5 and 5-1. With the losses, the Bulldogs fell to 23-12 on the season and 6-11 in the MACJC.

Holmes travels to Mississippi Delta on Tuesday and to Pearl River on Friday.

In game one, Nate Oswalt suffered the loss. He went 1 2/3 innings and gave up six runs on five hits with three strikeouts and one walk. Kameron Ferguson, Eric Jones, Ethan Gowan, Jonathan Evans and Dylan Ramsey also pitched in the game.

Jimmy Burse and Taj Porter each had two hits with Burse adding a double. Jaylan Armstrong had a two-run homerun while Walker Yuille added a double.

In game two, Chris Guthrie suffered the loss. He went five innings and gave up four runs on four hits with two strikeouts and six walks. Albert Hughes and Cade Pinnix also pitched in the game. The Bulldogs had no hits in game two.
