Holmes takes two from Southwest to end the 2019 season

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs ended the 2019 season with two wins over the Southwest Mississippi Community College Bears, 10-7 and 6-1.

Holmes finished 28-18 overall and 11-17 in the MACJC.

In game one, Dalton Massingill picked up the win. He went four innings and gave up one run on one hit with three strikeouts and three walks. Kameron Ferguson, Chris Guthrie, Payton Hanson, Ethan Gowan and Steven Lacey also pitched in the game with Lacey picking up the save.

Taj Porter led the Bulldogs with four hits while Anthony Fidanza and Cade Pinnix each had three and Jaylen Armstrong and Jimmy Burse had two. Porter and Fidanza had doubles in the game.

In game two, Fidanza picked up the win. He gave up one run on three hits with two strikeouts and three walks. Guthrie and Lacey pitched in the game with Lacey picking up his second save of the day.

Austin Telano, Fidanza and Burse each had two hits. Porter added a two-run HR while Paul Green added a triple.
