Bulldogs split contests with Southwest and Northeast

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs split two games here Tuesday with Southwest and Northeast. The Bulldogs defeated Southwest, 11-8, and fell 7-3 to Northeast.

Cole Moudy picked up the win in game one. He went four innings and gave up five runs on seven hits with four strikeouts and three walks. Connor Wallace and Abbott Hankins also pitched in the game. Hankins, Matthew Reed, Hayden Beall, Adam Francisco and Cameron Pilgrim each had two hits. Hankins had two doubles while Pilgrim, Reece Smith and Caleb Easterling each added a double.

In game two, John Paul Buckner took the loss. He gave up four runs on six hits with five strikeouts and two walks. Justin Jenkins threw three innings and gave up three runs on four hits with three strikeouts and two walks. Beall led with two hits and added a double. Smith also had a double.
