Bulldogs split two games with Delta and Coahoma
GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs split two games here Wednesday with Mississippi Delta and Coahoma. Holmes fell to Delta, 5-3 and defeated Coahoma, 6-5.
In game one, Cole Moudy took the loss. He gave up five runs on five hits with four strikeouts and two walks. Jackson Dollar went 1.2 innings in the game. Matthew Reed, Reese Smith and Adam Francisco each had two hits with Smith and Reed adding doubles. Ethan Wood had a two-run homerun.
In game two, John Paul Buckner went five innings and picked up the win. He gave up three runs runs on five hits with two strikeouts and two walks. Jackson Dollar, Jaden Clinton and Abbott Hankins pitched in the game. Wood led the Bulldogs with two hits while Hankins added a double. Hayden Beall and Francisco each had two-run homeruns in the game.
