Bulldogs fall to Itawamba Indians in MACCC action

GOODMAN --- The Holmes Community College Bulldogs fell here Wednesday to Itawamba Community College 17-3 and 8-4 in MACCC action.

Holmes travels to Meridian on Saturday at 1 p.m.

In game one, Cole Moudy got the start and suffered the loss. He gave up 11 runs on 12 hits with one strikeout and four walks. R.J. Merriman and Will Carter also threw in the game. Austin Russell had a double.

In game two, John Paul Buckner got the start and suffered the loss. He went four innings and gave up seven runs on 11 hits with four strikeouts. Graydon Gullick, Jackson Dollar and Austin Russell also pitched in the game. Reese Smith led with two hits with two doubles. Hayden Beall added a two-run homerun while Evan Scott and Carson Buckner each had a double.

Against Jones in Goodman in the MACCC openers, the Bulldogs fell 8-3 and 9-3.

In game one, Abbott Hankins took the loss. Justin Jenkins also pitched in game one. Matthew Reed led the Bulldogs with two hits. Parker Knight added a double.

In game two, Cameron Pilgrim took the loss. Graydon Gullick, Jaden Clinton and Austin Russell also pitched in the game. John Nolan Pajak led with three hits. Evan Scott added a two-run homerun.
